Education
Dr. VanWinkle was born and raised in Indianapolis. He attended Brebeuf Prepatory High School then earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Indiana University Bloomington.
He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Masters of Science in Dentistry and Certificate in Periodontics from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis. He served as a clinical instructor in the Department of Periodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Indiana Dental Association and the Indianapolis District Dental Society.
He is married to wife Ellie and has three children David, Caitlin and Caroline. He enjoys playing golf, tennis, water and snow skiing. He is an active pilot and frequently travels the country with his family
