About our Practice
As an Oral Medicine specialist, Dr. Steed's practice is limited to the diagnosis and treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders, also known as TMD or TMJ.
Education
Since 1984, Dr. Steed has limited her practice exclusively to treating patients with Craniofacial Disorders, and in particular, the diagnosis and treatment of TMD.
After attaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.), she successfully completed the two year Post-Graduate Study Certificate and Masters of Dentistry (M.S.D.) from Indiana University in Oral Medicine.
At present, she continues to focus her education on the complex area of Craniofacial Pain, and to date has completed approximately 3000 hours of post-graduate continuing education credits. She holds a Diplomate with both the American Board of Craniofacial Pain and the International College of Cranio Mandibular Orthopedics. She is on staff at St. Vincent, Indiana University and Methodist Hospitals, and lectures internationally. Her research in TMJ/Craniofacial Pain has been published in professional journals.
