What We Do
For more than 20 years, children, adults, and second-generation patients have trusted Dr. Nicholson and his staff with their smiles.
Offices in Zionsville and Lebanon offer a relaxed, friendly environment for children and adults. Dr. Nicholson is sensitive to each patient's concerns as they work with the staff to develop their own personal orthodontic program.

Education
Dr. James Nicholson is a native Hoosier and a graduate of Bedford High School. He attended DePauw University and received his general dental training from Indiana University School of Dentistry graduating in 1976. From that time until December of 1979, Dr. Nicholson served in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps in Naples, Italy with temporary duty assignment to Morocco and the Persian Gulf.
Dr. Nicholson studied orthodontics at Northwestern University Dental School where he received his M.S. degree. His master's thesis earned an Award of Special Merit from the American Association of Orthodontics and he presented his research at the National Convention. After graduation Dr. Nicholson began practicing on the east side of Indianapolis with Dr. Carl Edds. In 1986 he opened on office in Lebanon and continues to practice in that location. Dr. Nicholson's service to Boone County expanded in 2001 when he assumed the Zionsville practice of the retiring Dr. John Linquist. The transition to full time practice in Boone County was facilitated by the sale of Dr. Nicholson's eastside practice.
Over his career Dr. Nicholson has earned the trust of his fellow practitioners. Numerous fellow dentists and their staff have trusted Dr. Nicholson for treatment of their and their family's orthodontic concerns.
Dr. Nicholson has attended Zionsville Fellowship Church since 1982. He and his family of wife Margy and four sons have actively participated in the life of the church. Community wide service includes volunteer assistance to FCA at the Zionsville Middle School and High School, and Campus Life at Zionsville Middle School. Recently Dr. Nicholson has assisted with a program (Anchors Away) to prepare high school seniors transition to college.
The Nicholson family has participated in Youth League sports in the Zionsville Community, and the practice has sponsored many youth activities throughout Boone County including athletic teams, 4H, and various school projects.
